ACC to Host Job Discovery 2011 March 17 - QUEENSBURY -- Job Discovery 2011, an annual job fair and business expo, will be held on Thursday, March 17th from 10am until 5pm in the Adirondack Community College Gymnasium, 640 Bay Road, Queensbury.
Job Discovery is a community-based effort with a planning committee that includes representatives from education, state and local workforce and economic development agencies, healthcare, manufacturing, banking, insurance and business service organizations.
The event is an excellent opportunity for employers and job-seekers to interact. Job Discovery annually features about 70 employers, along with additional job-seeker support services and is an excellent opportunity for job-seekers to meet with representatives of businesses from throughout Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties. Many of the employers at Job Discovery will be accepting applications at the event, including opportunities for full-time, part-time, and summer employment.
Job seekers of all ages are welcome at Job Discovery. In addition to providing employment opportunities, the event provides an opportunity to learn about our regional economy as well as the education, skills and experience desired by many businesses. Workshops and print resources will be offered during the day on job search related topics, along with a resume critique service.
