Seed Collection Volunteer Workday;
Saturday, September 25th, 10am-1pm, Camp Saratoga.
Help us collect the seeds we need to restore the habitat for the endangered Karner blue butterfly! We will collect seeds from native wildflowers that provide nectar to the Karner blue, including butterfly milkweed, New Jersey tea, spreading dogbane, horsemint, and bush clover. No experience is necessary. Refreshments will be provided.

Fence Building Volunteer Workday;
Saturday, October 16th, 9am-12noon, Camp Saratoga.
The Camp Saratoga property currently harbors two important Karner blue butterfly restoration sites. Once planted, these sites need time and safety to establish themselves. We are constructing a temporary fence that will discourage deer from entering the restoration area and eating the fruits of our labor. No experience is necessary. Refreshments will be provided.

Interested parties can register with Sarah Clarkin at the Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park (518) 587-1939 ext. 220.
